We Will Remember...

Through the chaos and devastation for the first world war the bright red hue of the Flanders Poppy prevailed and the resilient flower flourished and now reminds us of the great sacrifice our great soldiers have made from the first day of WWI to the days of now across the world...

This year Sunday the 9th of November marks the day of Remembrance in the UK but this year marks the 100 year anniversary of the first world war and to commemorate the tragic events The Tower of London is installing over 880,000 red ceramic poppies in a piece named Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red...

You can make a dedication of a poppy to a loved one lost or buy one of the thousands of poppies to keep at home after the pieces is removed from the Tower from the historical palaces website (here) but you can also see this incredible piece with your own eyes for free around the boarder of the tower walls like I did...

Being a child of the Armed Forces with my Dad and most of my male relitives service in the forces this day will always hold something in my Heart, helping them remember the friends they may have lost.

WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
