My Spring Nails

The new year is here and as much as I love winter and the colors it bring but spring and summer are my favorite times of the year. My nails varnish collection is rather large but most of the colors are wintry and dark but this year I have decided to bring more color into my life and that has started with my nails.
So I delved deep into my nail varnishes and found my old favorite from a couple of years ago...

Chanel Le Vernis in 549 Distraction is a gorgeous coral with pinkish simmer in it, it was released in summer 2012 as part of their limited edition collection but I was lucky enough to get my hands on it as a gift but a similar alternative by the brand is Orange Fizz, Chanel Nail Varnishes retail at £18.00 and the finish is worth it but if you find a color you like and don't want to pay that much there will always be a high street alternative I found that Natural Collection's Antique Coral is very similar but at only £2.00 is perfect for a budget.

I start off by applying any clear nail varnish at the moment I'm using Collection's 2 in 1 Top Coat and then apply up to 2 layers of color making sure each layer is dry before applying the next so it doesn't form bubbles, after the final color layer i wait for it to dry and then apply 1 final layer of the clear to give them a glossy finish and make sure the color stays non-chipped for as long as possible!

Whats your favorite nail varnish and what will you be trying new in 2014?
