Perks of being a tourism student...

Being a tourism student it is important that we understand what different destinations have to offer which means that there is no other option than to visit the places relating to our assignments surely... well that's is one of the few perks of my course last year I visited Glasgow, Scotland to look at different ideas to introduce a new coach tour around the UK. This year was slightly more exciting travelling across Europe to visit Budapest, Hungary to look at the re-development of a tourism product. It was a great 4 days walking around the historical city taking in the sights and finding out many differences in their culture and the depth of the language barrier that unfortunately for me was almost impossible to decipher. But it helped with the assignment and gave me a chance to visit a city I may never have even thought of going to otherwise...

The main train station into Budapest city

The river Danube looking over to the Buda side of Budapest

Andrassy the main shopping street

Heroes Square war memorial

Hungarian parliament building

Chain Bridge

Buda Castle

Hopefully next years final year trip will be just as excited but slightly warmer and bring more photos onto this blog...
