New Years Motivational Downfall...

There is no doubt in my head that I am not the only student that is putting off the pile of work lying in the corner of my room after all the festivities over Christmas and New Year but we all no its time to kick our butts into gear and knuckle down and get at least some of it before we return to the hard reality of uni in around a week or so...
Now if your like me and all the work is either group or research based it can be hard to find the full motivation to complete them especially if its a subject that might not exactly be your number one favorite subjects, BUT there are ways that you can get some slight motivation to get it done here are somethings that I do to help me;
1. Rewards; I allow myself a short TV break and a sweet treat once I get past certain 'hurdles' in my work for example if I complete a paragraph I let myself have a snack and  watch 20 minutes of TV...
2. Music; No matter if its a quick 20 minute piece, or a sit down all day and complete a 1000 word essay I make sure I have my headphones on with some upbeat music as it keeps me from getting distracted by sounds inside the house and outside or TV's on in the house I also find it helps me keep at a faster pace as I type along the music (just be careful you don;t get distracted by changing tracks, make a playlist of songs you know your going to want to listen to)...
3. Plan; I no it sounds boring but make a plan for each piece of work and then make another plan which pieces your going to do when it makes it easier to work through and you can mark off exactly where your put to in the work so you don't get lost and confused...

Hope that these tips can get you though you New Years Downfall in Motivation and 2013 treats you all well...
